New site brings together skating’s premier brands John Wilson, MK and Parabolic
Sheffield, England (Sept. 12, 2008)—World leader in figure blade technology HD Sports recently launched its new website, theworldsbestblades.com which brings together skating’s premier brands: John Wilson Skates, MK Blades and the revolutionary Parabolic. New features of the site include enhanced blade images, recommendations and maintenance/care tips. Users are also invited to sign up to stay current on blade news and developments.
The refreshed site coincides with the re-introduction of the Parabolic blade, designed to deliver sharper, more accurate turns, faster take-offs and more precise landings. Its unique design increases stability, allowing skaters to be more centered on the blade to dramatically improve footwork and edges as well as advance skaters’ ability in moves such as Salchow, loop and axel jumps.

Like traditional blades, the Parabolic’s width is identical at both the front and back of the blade. Unlike other blades on the market today, however, the blade’s edge slowly tapers, reaching its narrowest point at the center. The tapered edge then returns to its original width at the back of the blade, completing its parabolic design.
